James Koenig has been an artist for as long as he can remember, and has worked professionally for over 20 years. His passion is creating characters and joyful artwork in various ways. This has led him down an interesting variety of paths. His work has been featured in over 90 books, art galleries, private collections, and an uncountable amount of brand products over the years. His desire is to continue to explore and experiment in his personal work and share that with the world.
A Letter From the Artist
Have you ever felt a little different in this world? I grew up feeling that way. Always feeling a little weirder than others. I learned to embrace parts of it and find the joyful side of feeling different. But probably like you, I still have struggled to embrace all parts of myself as the whole. In this time of my life, I feel strongly about putting all those creative and unique parts of myself in one place. So, you will see lots of character, animal, & creature art, but you’ll also see my typewriting passion, my love for Jesus, sculpture, encouraging videos, and perhaps even some puppetry. Whether a painting, a sketch, or a poem, my hope is that you discover something unexpected and special in my work.
